No real progress or major update this week. I caught a cold a few days ago and could not anything for the last couple of days. This is frustrating because a few parts returned from powder coating, including the engine brackets and the pulley – which means I should be able to finish the 18V engine soon.
On Wednesday new 130x130x5mm steel anchor plates arrived. These are to attach larger castor wheels – an upgrade for the roll-over jig. I did consider ordering predrilled plates but thankfully decided against it this time. Turns out that the measurements and drawing for the mounting holes on the Amazon page are completely off. Yesterday the castors were in the mail and the holes need to be 100 by 75 mm apart – instead of 75 by 60mm.
Tonight, I wanted to do at least something productive and took the plates to my drill press in the basement. Four holes in 8 plates drilled with a 5,5mm and 10,5mm drill – makes 64 drill operations, which took 80 min. Well, next time I will get correct measurements first and order predrilled anchor plates for sure…
