Saab 900 TLC session

Saabeth - my son's Saab 900 Turbo T16 - is stored in a dry location back here in Bonn for a few months now. Every few weeks I did a start check up on the car. I started up the engine, recharged the battery and checked the dehumidifier. Back in August I noticed that the... Continue Reading →

MGB Glovebox Lid – Buffer and Catch (AHH6291 + AHH6292) – reproduction

UPDATE June 18th2025: The 3MF file for this part is now available on Makerworld. https://makerworld.com/de/models/1529509-mgb-glovebox-catch-ahh6291-and-ahh6292#profileId-1603845Even after 60 years most MGB spare parts are relatively easy to find. Rally Dashboard

Ever since I bought the Brantz International Pro2 a few years back I had the idea of creating a proper Rally Dashboard. At the same time I had a something in mind that would not require changes or damage to the original dashboard. After all - most of the time I don't need the equipment.... Continue Reading →

Mildred’s Dashboard – Part 1

Mildred's final paint job is still a few months down the road. But the inner doors and tailgate frame and the outer skins will get painted before the parts will be put together again. And my wife and I decided, that Mildred's future dashboard will also be painted with the new body color instead of... Continue Reading →

MGB seat rails upgrade

Last weekend I had travel up north. The plan was to take the Morgan and enjoy the sunny weather. However, a minor technical issue (loose starter cable-shoe) and the fact that I had to take our dog (Friedmann) along, made Maggie the better choice. On short trips Friedmann is usually fine with sneaking into the... Continue Reading →

Project Mildred update (summer 24)

After a vacation, limited time was spent on project Mildred, with substantial maintenance and cleaning efforts on the Morgan. Progress on the MGB GT waits on required welding and body-work to start. Preparation includes having necessary repair panels and planning efficient wiring improvements. The dilemma over positioning the fuse and relay holder persists.

Rolling stress

It was quite a bit of luck that the new Vredestein Classic Sprint tires from Autodoc arrived just in time on Friday. They are DOT23 - so from this year. Along with them  new Michelin tubes at the Radspannerei in Fachbach. A big shout out to Stephan Oster - the owner and wire wheel wizard.... Continue Reading →

Whit Monday Test drive

Relieved - this is what I am feeling today. We just got back from the first 100km trip in the Morgan. Doesn't sound like much - but besides driving it back from Viktor Günther Motorsport in Cologne last autumn - it is the longest run I did ever after the rebuild of C6622 since I... Dashboard progress

After coming back from a few days of vacation on the Dutch island Ameland, I finally got back to work on the Morgan. After fixing the passenger door problem, a slightly modify dashboard is the next priority. Three small but important changes had to be incorporated. First, the edge just above the door had to...
