Today a long-awaited package from SMCO out of Canada arrived. The set of LED indicator, reverse and break light bulbs were intended for the Mini – but as they are the same for the MGB and Morgan I plan to test them on all cars. Unfortunately, this was not the only positive news of the day. My Corona self-test was also positive. While we all have a booster vaccination, tested ourselves of the Christmas days multiple times before we had a family dinner – it still hit the entire family.
While I don’t have any symptoms besides a bit of headache – going into quarantine for the next couple of days is mandatory and I won’t get any work done on the cars… Stay safe and healthy everyone and see you in 2022.

first of all: all the very best. I hope all of you will recover within next/short.
Does the LED set include the relays? As far as I know the ’normal‘ MG relays will not work correctly with LEDs. As of now I would assume that special relays might be needed for (a) indicators and (b) hazard warning lights.

Thank you. I am all right with no symptoms. But I need to take care of my parents in Northern Germany now – they don’t feel well.
The LED bulbs do not require a relay. Neither the Mini nor the MGB will have a relay for those. LEDs draw 80% less power compared to the normal bulbs. More information can be found here: https://stevestonmotorco.com/products/apollo-brake-lights
