Due to Corona and me spending my spare time in the garage, it has been 5 years since we did the last vacation. The expectations and ideas about what location to choose and how a vacation should look like are not always perfectly aligned between partners. My wife wants sunshine, I want wind around my... Twisting surprise
A few days after the Driving Safety Training the "new" noise on the front suspension became louder and louder. Initially I thought that this originated from the alternator belt. After removing a bit of slack one new noise was gone - just to make clear that there is a new noise from the suspension. Earlier... Continue Reading →
Poor ground problems – good weekend
This was quite a productive weekend. On Saturday I woke up early because I could not get a thought out of my head. Last week, when I built the metal crossmember for the Mini seats, I fetched a single piece of square tube from a metal bin. But there was quite a bit more in... Continue Reading →
Ahh!! The weekend is here!!
After a long and busy week, I managed to get to the garage at 5pm today. And I ticking off items on the Morgan issue list one by one. Today I started with the Lucas 1130 sidelights. Trailer Queen
Due to the broken altenator it was a better choice to use a trailer. After the VGS checks and treatment I am looking forward for the first drive
Done… almost…
After two and a half intense days work on the Morgan I am back where I started two months ago. What on earth let me think that I could pull the wiring, add relays and have everything done in three weeks? I don't know.... Back in June I made an appointment at Victor Günter Motorsport... Patience required
The weekend started with a bit of research on LED lights for classic cars. A while ago I switched to LED headlights on the Mini. First, I had the Apollo bulbs from Steveston Motor Company. LED headlights make a huge difference in the dark compared to the standard H4 bulbs and certainly add security. Unfortunately,... Continue Reading →
Hopelessly
Not in my most daring dream I would have thought that I spent a few hours this week with Rick Astley. But I am not talking about the English singer and songwriter. Nope. Even though the first lines of one his songs pretty much sum up my week: I walk the wire every nightI can't decide... Continue Reading →
