Short update from the garage. More fiddling was required to get the right wing further down. Now the front is nicely aligned. Some small tweaks around the grill are still required. But we are currently using an old grill for fitment testing. After the rear wings are done, the car will move from the roll-over jig to the dolly. This is required for the front valance fitting.
The first door has its new skin. The inside of the door and the skin already received paint last year. I also applied Noico sound-deadening before the skin was installed – this made it a lot easier and cleaner. Next week I need to test-fit the quarter lights as well.
I am quite happy with the door panel gap, but the sill to the front wing will need some more work. Wings to A-pillar edges are smooth now. They will stay one for a while now to prepare for painting. However they will come off and will be individually painted. Wing sealing tape will be used on final fitment before the entire car get the final paint coat.
The second door and tailgate were not completed today. Once they are done next week, the rear wings can be tackled…
