A long overdue workbench clean-up took a significant part of the afternoon. That included installing more tool holders and lots of other things. Well, cleanliness is godliness (as it is written on the wall of the Swiftune workshop). And for the upcoming engine rebuild this is really important. There were some preparations that needed to be addressed first.
For one an adapter to attach the engine to the engine stand is required. I solved this by drilling some ugly holes into a piece of 4mm thick scrap metal I had at hand. I should have cleaned the edges – but I didn’t and the result is a long cut on my hand.
After taping this up the adapter was finished quickly. It uses the two bolts for the oil filter housing and one from the alternator bracket. The engine is centered, close to the pivot and easy to turn. Jobs a gooden.
After this I cleaned and taped off the engine block to get new paint on. The new red is much brighter – not really to my liking. It should be dry by tomorrow and I hope it will look ok

Your blood maybe made the red redder hahahaha…..
